[1] Leave Meadowfield Sports Centre and turn left towards the car park. Once in the car park turn left and head towards the bollards.
[2] Go past the bollards and head uphill towards the skate park. Walk past the football pitch and the skate park and go through the grassy cut towards the green metal fence.
[3] Once you have reached the path in front of the green fence you should turn left and follow the path around.
[4] Head forwards on the path into the Brandon - Bishop Auckland Railway Line and continue onto the ‘National Network Cycle Path’ follow this path until you come to a road. Once at the road you should cross over forwards and continue onto the next line.
[5] Keep walking again following the line along until the next road, where you should once again cross over and head onto the next line following the ‘W2W Bishop Auckland’ path.
[6] When the path splits stay left heading down hill. This hill is quite steep!
[7] Walk for a distance before turning right into a cut towards bungalows, pass two concrete posts.
[8] Follow path as it bears right then left over grass between a bungalow and garages. Join the path opposite the garages and turn left heading up the street walking towards a small Sainsbury’s shop.
[9] Follow the path and cross over the road in front of you towards the Sainsbury’s shop and walk up the path with Sainsbury’s to the right of you and the road to your left.
[10] Continue on this path as it follows the road around passing ‘Brandon House’ on your right. Just after Brandon House cross the road to your left and continue in the same direction.
[11] Keep walking crossing any small/minor roads and turn left into a cut just before the first bungalow of ‘Briar Avenue’.
[12] Follow this path and when you come to the road you should you should turn right walking with the road to the left of you.
[13] When you reach the bus stop on your right you should cross over the road to your left and continue on forwards in the same direction walking past ‘Stoneacre’ on your left.
[14] Keep walking on pavement passing the pharmacy and Doctors Surgery on your right, cross over ‘Leesfield Gardens’ and the follow the path as it bears left. The A690 road will now be to the right of you.
[15] Follow this path all the way back to the Sports Centre crossing over any roads as you come to them. Be careful as some roads may be busy!
