[1] Facing the main entrance to the Peepul Centre turn right and follow the building round to the car park entrance on Orchardson Avenue.
(A) The Peepul Centre (and Sainsburys) stands on the site of Belgrave Station. This terminus It opened on January 1st 1883 and closed 9th September 1962. Trains went to Peterborough and Grantham with summer specials to Skegness and Mablethorpe.
[2] Cross over Orchardson Avenue and take the footpath, Cotman Walk, immediately facing.
(B) This footpath follows the line of the old railway in the direction of the next station on Humberstone Road
[3] Just before the end of the footpath turn left and go through a small car park onto Constable Avenue, turning right onto Stubbs Road, then left along Catherine Street.
[4] Turn 3rd left onto Burfield Street
[5] About half way down the street turn right into Harrison Road
[6] At the Surrey Street intersection turn left into Cossington Street Recreation Park. Continue across the park bearing left along the path.
(C) Cossington Street Recreation Ground was originally allotments until 1894 when it was declared a public space for the use of local residents. There is a childrens play area and facilities for many different recreational activities. It has hosted many popular events such as the Mela, Dasheera and Diwali festivals and also funfairs.
[7] At the end of the path go forwards to Rothley Street and follow to the end.
[8] Turn left onto Belgrave Road.
[9] Take the third road on the left, through the car park, onto Donaldson Road.
[10] Follow Donaldson Road round all of the bends to the end, then turn left at the grey building and follow the path around it. Continue on this path, passing the playground on the left and turn right back to the Peepul Centre.
