[1] Facing the Peepul Centre turn left and take the footpath into the park area
(A) The Peepul Centre (and Sainsburys) stands on the site of Belgrave Station. This terminus It opened on January 1st 1883 and closed 9th September 1962. Trains went to Peterborough and Grantham with summer specials to Skegness and Mablethorpe.
[2] Just before the playground turn left onto the footpath and follow it around the edge of the grey building into Donaldson Street
[3] Follow Donaldson Street round until you get to a car park. Pass through the car park and turn right into Belgrave Road
(B) Belgrave Road is on the line of the Roman Fosse Way. Because of its many gold jewellers it is known as the Golden Mile and more gold is sold over the counter here than in any other part of Europe. There are many saree shops,, restaurants and grocery stores. Many shops are closed on Mondays but are open on Sundays.
[4] Continue up Belgrave Road for about 1/2 mile then turn right into Broadhurst Street by the Tesco Express store.
[5] Turn right at the end into Portman Street
[6] Turn left at the end into Canon Street
[7] At the crossroads turn right into Harrison Road
[8] Continue down Harrison Road and turn right into the Surrey Street entrance of Cossington Street Recreation Ground - a cycling route signposted 'City Centre and All Other Routes'
[9] Bear left on the path and continue to the Peepul Centre
