Luton: Short walk from the Chaul End Community Centre

Both the 7 and 38 busses pass the centre and have stops in Dunstable Road.

There is limited unrestricted parking in the service road parallel to Dunstable Road.

[1] Tun right out of Centre, keep on pavement on right hand side of road.

[2] Turn right into Chaul End Lane, passing the Downside Primary School.

(A) Downside Primary School is being expanded from 3 to 5 form entry

[3] When you reach the turning for Carisbrooke Road, turn right - a bit early for a tea at the A-1 Cafe opposite.

(B) The A-1 Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The inside looks nicer than the outside.

[4] Continue along Carisbrooke Road, then turn right into Leicester Road, just by the H&A Foodstore. Keep on pavement on right hand side of Leicester Road, crossing turnings to Leicester Close, and Maltese House.

(C) Admire the Silver Birch trees on your way

(D) The Leicester Arms is part of the Sizzling Pubs chain. It runs quizzes on Sundays.

[5] Just past the "30 zone ends" sign turn right at the traffic lights back into Dunstable Road. Follow the pavement on the right hand side, back to the Community Centre.
