Getting there

Both the 7 and 38 busses pass the centre and have stops in Dunstable Road.

There is limited unrestricted parking in the service road parallel to Dunstable Road.

 

Description

[1] Turn left out of entrance to Community Centre. Walk along Dunstable Road to the traffic lights.

[2] Turn right and cross the dual carriageway using the pedestrian crossing . Turn left and cross Humberstone Road at the traffic lights, then turn right into it.  Walk along the left hand pavement of Humberstone Road.

(A) Fine Sycamore and Red Sycamore trees in Humberstone Road.

Pass the Apra General Store on your left and admire the mature Sycamore trees. Cross over the turnings to Granby Road and Wyvern Close.

[3] At the roundabout , turn sharp left, following the pavement round along Stoneygate Road. 

[4] Take the second turning on the left - Fieldgate Road and follow it to the end.

[5] Do not turn right into Sandgate Road, but walk on past the "No Cycling " sign, past the 3 posts into the short tree lined footpath.

[6] Walk round the barriers and you will arrive at a bus stop on Dunstable Road. Turn left and walk along the path for some 70 yards to cross Humberstone Road at the traffic lights.

[7] On reaching the the other side, turn right and go back across the Dunstable Road, using the pedestrian crossing . Turn left and you will soon be back at the Community Centre.
