[2] At the end of the cobbled street, a path lead on, turn right and then left onto the Hyndburn Greenway (A).

[3] Walk along the Greenway with the railway tracks on your right. You come to a small subway under the railway, go through this and then turn left following the path sign posted Hyndburn Greenway towards Church and Rishton. After a while you are walking alongside Alleytroyds road.

[4] Eventually you join the main road, turn right onto Blackburn Road and walk back to the Acorn Centre.

POI information

A. Hyndburn Greenway:  The route takes in a small portion of this Greenway, a quiet, traffic-free path which runs between Church Railway Station and Baxenden. There is also a link to Great Harwood. The Hyndburn Greenway is a great place for a walk: The route up through Woodnook  from Accrington to Baxenden is a particular delight. Another feature of the route is a stunning causeway across a lake, known as Platts Lodge on the edges of Accrington town centre.
