Description

[1] Leave the Health Centre by the main entrance and turn left towards the road. There is a car park opposite you. Turn left and walk to the end of the road. Cross over carefully and turn right to pass the Women’s Institute, on the left, and follow the pavement until you reach the T junction with the Victoria Hall opposite you.

[2] Turn left past the War Memorial Institute. And follow the left hand pavement along The Hill. There are cherry blossom trees with interesting bark along the pavement. Cross three access roads carefully.

[3] When you arrive at a T junction, turn left and walk downhill towards the bend in the road where you will see an electricity sub-station behind a wooden gate, on the left.

[4] Just beyond the wooden gate is a metal barrier. Turn left to walk through the barrier into the park. Follow the path past the children’s play area and on to the other side of the park. Follow the path straight on, through a line of trees, until it turns sharply right and then left to merge into a road. Continue ahead through houses to a T junction.

[5] Cross carefully over the road and turn right towards the main road. Turn left out of Swallows onto the main road.

[6] Follow the Left hand pavement of Station Road, cross carefully over Vince Dunn Mews and pass an interesting looking funeral home.

[7] When you reach Barclays bank take the drive to the left, just past the bank. Just before the drive opens out into a road, take a small path of paving stones to the right.

[8] The Health Centre is now ahead of you. Cross the car park carefully to return.
