There is a carpark at the start for users of the medical centre or the pharmacy.

Description

[1] Walk out of the medical centre to the the nearest road – Griffith Gate. Turn left  and follow the path to the roundabout, which is signposted Griffith Gate Roundabout.

[2] Follow the path round the roundabout to the left, until you reach the second exit – Broughton road. Turn left up this road, initially following the path on the right-had side of the road but crossing over later on when the path changes sides. You will pass allotments on your right. Beyond the allotments you will pass the entrances to Meadow Lane on your right and Parrock Lane on your left.

[3] When you reach The Swan Inn public house (A) on your right, turn right up Willen Road just after the public house. At the time of writing this is being rebuilt after a bad fire just before Christmas 2011. Walk along Willen Road to the first road junction on the right.  There is no footpath along this road, but it is very quiet. To the left, behind some trees, is All Saints church (B).  Over to the right you will see Milton Keynes village hall (C)

(A) The Swan public House dates from the 13th Century. http://www.theswan-mkvillage.co.uk/index.html

(B) All Saints' Church was built in about 1330http://www.allsaintschurchmkvillage.co.uk/

(C) The village hall was built in 1859 as a schoolroom. http://www.mkvillagehall.co.uk/

[4] Turn right at this first junction towards a small car park, passing the village hall and a playground (D). Enter the car park and then exit to the left onto a redway. Follow the redway past a plaque indicating a late Saxon cemetery on your right and a cricket pitch and the Pavilion of MK Cricket Club (E), also on your right.

(E) The Pavilion is a sports and social club for Milton Keynes village. http://www.mkvpavilion.co.uk/

[5] You will come to Worrelle Avenue, where it is joined, from the opposite direction to you, by Tanfield Lane. Cross Worrelle Avenue, turn right, cross Tanfield Lane and follow the redway down Worrelle Avenue, crossing Howe Court and Clare Croft along the way, until you reach Griffith Gate Roundabout. The first exit is Griffith Gate. Cross the road and turn left down it to the medical centre which you will see in front of you, on the right.
