Route Summary A short circular walk through the quiet Bradgate Heights residential area to a footpath giving great views of Bradgate Park as well as some local wildlife. There are no streetlights on the footpath.

Description

This walk has a number of busy roads, please take care when crossing and walking beside them.  Use pedestrian crossings where possible.

Some of the pavements and paths are uneven in places - take care.

[1]  Facing the car parks continue forwards into the car park and, using the paths, head to the Support Shop

[2]  Take the path at the side of the shop and continue round to Glenfrith Way

[3]  Turn left over the pedestrian cross to walk along Glenfrith Way

[4]  Turn left at the next set of traffic lights onto Hallgate Drive and continue to the end

Return the smile of the building in front and just to the right!

[5]  Turn left onto Lady Hay Road and continue forward

[6]  Take the second road on the left, Whittington Road, and continue to the end

[7]  Turn right onto Broombriggs Road and continue forward eventually bearing right onto Lady Hay Road

[8]  Continue past Polebrook Close and then, after a short distance, turn left at the signpost 'Public Footpath'. Turn right onto the next path.  Follow this path all the way round to its end next to Lyn Close.  

Enjoy some great views of Bradgate Park as well as the ponds and wildlife refuges.

[9]   Turn left onto Lady Hay Road and shortly turn right onto Hallgate Drive

[10]  At the end turn right to walk along Glenfrith Drive and retrace the outbound route back to the start
