[1] Turn left out of the Community Centre and walk along Landrace Road, crossing Shepherd Road. When you reach Haymarket Road, cross carefully over the road towards the park.
[2] Go into the park and follow the path round to the right. The children’s play area is to your left. Around the edge of the park are exercise stations with instructions for their use on boards by each one. As you come to the skateboard ramps, keep to the path as it continues round the park to the left. Look out for more exercise stations. There is a bench by the path which you may like to use to take a break and watch the world go by. As you continue past the basketball area, take the path to the left to continue round the park. There are more benches here.
[3] At the next corner of the park there are some interesting beds. In summer 2012 there were cornflowers and poppies growing here. Take the path round to the right to walk to the top of the raised bed. There are some steps down on the far side, but you can retrace your steps if you prefer, before following the path around the sunken area next to the steps. Continue towards the children’s play area but follow the path to the right, just before the play area, towards the road.
[4] Cross the road carefully at the hump opposite number 14 and walk down Shepherd Road, which is slightly to your right. There are some colourful, well-kept gardens here. Follow the pavement, round the left hand bend, until you come to Landrace Road.
[5] Turning right, cross Shepherd Road carefully and follow Landrace Road back to the Community Centre.
