There are a number of busy roads and junctions to cross on this route - cross them with care using pedestrian refuges where possible.
[1] From the Village Hall turn left and continue forward on Leicester Road, crossing Greyland Paddock, to reach the mini-roundabout at Bluebell Drive. Cross Bluebell Drive and keep on down Leicester Road, crossing Anstey Lane to reach the traffic island where Leicester Road joins Sacheverell Way.
[2] Cross over right onto Sacheverell Way looking out for fast traffic and continue forward for about 2 kilometres, crossing Laundon Way (twice) to the junction of Sacheverell Way and Ratby Road.
Alternative route for a shorter walk - after about 1 kilometre along Sacheverell Way turn first right onto Laundon Way. Turn right up the slope by the bus stop in front of Budgens and continue forward along the path to the left of the car park onto Pymm Ley Lane. Keep on to the end of Pymm Ley Lane then turn left onto Leicester Road to return to the start.
[3] Turn right up Ratby Road. Where the pavement ends cross over and continue forward to Groby village passing Brookvale/Groby Community College on the left.
[4] When you reach Markfield Road cross over and turn right by the Stamford Arms to return to the Village Hall.
