[1] Walk down Church Street until you reach the first street ('The Park') on your right. Turn right here and follow the road as it leads you further right to the play ground and Bishop Middleham's Wildlife Garden.
Bishop Middleham is home of a football club, Bishop Middleham FC, that plays in DDSL 3rd division after promotion last season. After the game, they usually go The Fleece Inn. They play their home games at The Park. Their colours are blue and white. Opposite Bishop Middleham FC is a newly built Multi-Use Games Area which is another sports facility for young and old. The Village Hall is well-used for various events and sporting activities.
[2] Enter the Wildlife Garden and turn left to walk over the raised footpath that leads you over the pond. Exit the Wildlife Garden and turn left along the grassy footpath.
[3] After a short distance, you will see some steps on your right. Walk up the steps and turn left to follow the footpath for a distance.
Be careful as the steps are very steep.
[4] You will come to a gate. Go through the gate and turn left. Follow the graveled path as it leads you uphill. At the end you will reach the main road through the village.
[5] Turn left here and follow the pavement as it leads you through the village. Cross the road at 'Church Street' to stay on the pavement. Cross over to the other side of the road so that 'Front Street' is on your left. Follow the pavement with the black railings until the first possibility to turn left into 'Broadoaks'. Cross the road again and turn left to turn into 'Broadoaks'. Follow the road uphill to return to the starting point.
