The regular Arriva Bus 5/ X5 Service goes through the town.

Description

[1] Start from the Traffic Lights in the Centre of Llanfairfechan.  Walk alongside the main road towards Bangor and then up the drive, to the Church. Pass to the left  of the Church and follow the enclosed path around  to the road. Turn right and continue bearing left to pass the entrance to the Golf Club. There is  also a small industrial estate on the right. Ignore the first footpath on the left and just after the junction take the footpath on the left to cross the Golf Course. At the lane turn right to reach a cottage just where the road starts to go down hill.

Take  the footpath up a track on the left that goes quite steeply uphill. Follow this on to the open country. The track becomes a green road which is easy to follow. Fork left after the corner of a stone wall. Continue until you come to a large stone at the crossing of the tracks, just after going under the pylons.

[2] Turn right you are  now on the Roman Road which is part of the North Wales Path. Follow this as it winds its way alongside the hillside. Eventually you reach a small car park at a gate. Go through the gate and follow the tarmac road to the bridge. A detour at this point is a walk to and from Aber Falls. To do this take the footpath on your left.

[3] Follow the road down through the village, fork left at T-junction and turn left past the rectory (There are regular buses back to Llanfairfechan- turn right, away from the rectory, for the bus stop ) before going under the main road (A55). Turn right at the T-junction Continue ahead forking left to go under the railway line to the Car Park. Turn right to join the Wales Coast Path. Look out for a gate off the beach which has a coast path sign This is easier than the beach especially at high tide. Follow this path as it goes past the Bird Reserve to the Promenade at Llanfairfechan. Turn right at the car park to return to the start
