Starting from St Martin's Church (St Martin in the Bull Ring), Edgebaston Street, Birmingham B5 5BB.

[1]  Turn left out of St Martin's Church into Edgbaston Street and then into St Martin's Lane. Cross over Digbeth using the lights and walk on the left pavement. Take the second left out of Digbeth and into Meriden Street (unsigned) by 'Fancy Silk Store'. Continue when it becomes New Canal Street. Cross Coventry Street, Bordesley Street, Fazeley Street and Banbury Street.

[2]  When you get to Curzon Street, opposite Millennium Point, cross over, using the pedestrian lights.

Millennium Point, officially opened by the Queen in 2002, is a multi-use complex built in the developing east side of Birmingham. Its purpose is primarily educational and it houses the Birmingham Science Museum. The IMAX cinema is also situated here.

Turn right and walk to Cardigan Street, and turn left into it.

Alternative short-cut and Easy Access route: if you want to shorten the walk, turn left here and continue along Albert Street to Park Street Gardens and continue the route from point [4]. It is particularly advisable for wheelchair users to to this, to avoid narrow ramp from Jennens Road to Gosvenor Street.

[3]  At the top of Cardigan Street, turn left into Jennens Road. There's an old building ahead of your and on your right, typical of the old industrial heritage that is Birmingham's. Walk along Jennens Road and just before you come to some steps (and an arrow sign directing to a coach park) turn left down a narrow ramp (wheelchair users can avoid this via the alternative route above). Walk down the ramp and into the Grosvenor street, with Millennium Point on your left. You come out in Curzon Street, opposite the Woodman Pub. Cross over Curzon Street and turn right into Albert Street (unnamed here).

[4]  At the end of Albert Street you will find Park Street Gardens. Turn into these. Walk through them, parallel with the road, crossing over Fazeley Street. You will come out into Park Street, opposite what used to be the Fox and Grapes Pub. Turn left into Park Street and left again in a very short while, into Bordesley Street.

[5] Walk down Bordesley Street and take the first right into Allison Street. When you come to the end of Allison Street, turn right into Digbeth and retrace your steps back to St Martin's Church.
