Description

[1] Turn right out of Prospect Hall into College Walk, and turn right again when you come to Oak Tree Lane. In about 100 yards, at the post box, take the right fork, which is the continuation of Oak Tree Lane.

[2]  Walk as far as Woodbrooke Road where you turn right. Take the right fork where the path divides by a bench and walk away from the road. Walk as far as the lake; if you have the time and inclination, you can walk around it. Caution: deep water

[3]  From the lake, retrace your steps, keeping the hedge on your left. After about a hundred yards, by a notice board, take a path left. Follow this uphill, ignoring the turning on your right.

[4]  Continue to follow the path uphill as it bends slightly to the right. When you come to a bench with a lamppost in front of it, take the left fork.  At the next fork, go straight ahead, ignoring the turnings to your left and right. You now enter a grassy area, with some lovely mature trees, particularly on your right. The path curves around to the right and left (ignore a path leading to a road on your left), and then passes a triangular green area on your left.

[5] Cross over Kingfisher Way (unnamed here), taking the path that runs alongside a house with a green door (No. 31). Continue up some steps and turn left when you come out in Sellywood Road. Then turn left again into College Walk, making your way back to Prospect Hall.
