[1] Walk down to the end of Eckersall Road, turn right and cross using the pedestrian crossing. Walk over the bridge and turn left at the Rea Valley Route (A) sign, just in front of the car park.
[2] Follow the path to the end, where you will see a sign with a green arrow. Follow this arrow to the right and continue down the path until you reach a second, taller, sign on your right. Take the left fork and follow the path, past the skate park on your left, to Pershore Road. Cross the road, using the pedestrian crossing, and walk straight ahead into Kings Norton Playing Fields. Follow the tarmac path ahead until you reach a bridge.
[3] Walk over the bridge - the path can be wet after about 500 yards after the bridge – and continue up a short rise until you see a canal signpost. Turn right at the signpost, onto the graveled canal towpath.
For a shorter route, you can turn right here through a gap, to head back across the playing fields and retrace your steps back to Triplex House.
[4] Follow the towpath until you see a slope on the right-hand side by the Bridge. Walk up the slope and turn right onto Wharf Road to follow the road to the roundabout, past the Navigation Inn on your right. Turn right and cross over Pershore Road, at the pedestrian crossing. Turn right again and after a short distance turn left into Back Road.
[5] Follow the path along the road as is borders the church on your right, and then take the right-hand paved path (Birdcage Walk) between the church and the Tudor building. At the end, go straight ahead into St Nicholas Gardens and then turn right into Westhill Road. Cross over, to remain on the pedestrian path, and continue along to the junction with Eckersall Road. Turn left to then return to Triplex House.
