[1] Turn left out of the Saints Community Centre onto Solway Road North. Follow the road to the Junction of Bristol Road and turn left.
[2] Follow Bristol road to the junction of Blundell Road and turn left. Cross the road carefully at the nearby traffic island then turn right to get to the start of St Josephs Close, which is almost opposite Bristol Road.
[3] Turn left into St Josephs Close. Notice the large array of Solar panels on the bungalow on your right. The playing field of St Joseph's Junior School is behind railings on your left. Carry on to the end of the road and walk through the alley straight ahead of you. This alley leads to a road. You will see that there is a red and white arch over each pair of front doors in the houses opposite you. This is Gardenia Avenue.
[4] Turn right and follow it to Limbury Baptist Church at the end of the junction of Trinity Road.
[5] Cross Trinity Road carefully and turn right to the nearby junction of The Close. Turn into The Close and follow the road, looking out for the decorated house on the right. Follow the road to the alley at the end and go through to Black Swan Lane.
A. Decorated house. During the summer of 2012 it was decorated with flags and buntings for charity. I am sure that it is also decorated at Christmas and other occasions.
[6] Cross Black Swan Lane with care, noticing the pub of the same name as the Lane. Turn left and then turn right, very soon, into Riverside Road. Follow this road enjoying the pretty front gardens and the neat houses, until you reach to open grass area around the river Lea.
[7] Turn right onto a path that follows the river. And follow it until you come to the next Road, Runfold Avenue.
B. The River Lea has been important since roman times. It flows through Hertford and Enfield, past the Olympic Stadium to join the River Thames. At this point though, it is near its source and is little more than a stream.
[8] Turn right into Runfold Avenue. Follow the road until it meets Black Swan Lane, just by the convenience store.
[9] Cross carefully over Black Swan Lane and turn left, then turn right, very soon, into Kinglsley Road.
[10] Follow Kingsley Road to the junction with Trinity Road. There is a convenience store on the corner. Cross Trinity Road carefully and turn left.
[11] Follow Trinity Road to Blundell Road and turn right. This is a busy road with cars sometimes parked on the pavements. On Thursdays there are also bins on the pavement and care is needed.
[12] Follow Blundell Road until you have crossed St Josephs Close. Cross Blundell Road at the traffic island with care, then turn left towards Bristol Road, which is almost opposite St Josephs Close.
[13] Turn right into Bristol Road and follow it to Solway Road North. Turn right and return to the Saints Community Centre on your right.
