POI information

A. Platts Lodge was once used to supply water to the local mills but is now a small nature reserve with numerous breeds of wild life. The red painted pillars are the remains of the supports which carried the railway over the lodge.

B. Priestly Clough water fall and weir was the point where water was drawn off to replenish the small lodges that were situated on the right just as you enter the Clough.

C. Hyndburn Greenway is now a cycle path and bridal way and part of the national cycle network.  It once was the railway route between Accrington and Manchester.
