This walk is flat with plenty of benches and a cafe in the park, but no benches in the streets.
[1] On leaving the Laurels cross Cornwall Rd and enter Chestnuts Park through the side gate. Keep to the right and take the perimeter path past the Community Centre on the left.
[2] Walking north you will pass basketball and then tennis courts on your left with a large green sports pavilion beyond. Follow the path as it moves across the top of the park and where you can see the open field with large mature trees. Benches are well placed for frequent stops if necessary, or desired.
[3] After the next left turning you will be walking parallel to Black Boy Road with the primary school on the other side.
[4] At the end of the this path as you reach St Ann's Rd turn right and out the side gate towards Black Boy Rd. Cross over and continue along St Ann's Rd.
[5] Turn right into Riches Rd, a short residential street, and then right again at the top. Loop around and turn right again into Rowley Rd, which runs parallel to Riches Rd and takes you back to St Ann's Rd.
[6] At St Ann's Rd turn left and return to Chestnuts Park. Cross Black Boy Rd and enter the same gate you came out of. Chestnuts Cafe is ahead of you.
[7] After stopping at the cafe, continue on the same path through the park, with the small children's play area on the left until you reach the gate to Cornwall Rd and The Laurels.
