This inner city walk has a number of busy roads, please take care when crossing and walking beside them. Use pedestrian crossings where possible.
Some of the pavements and paths are uneven in places - take care.
[1] Walk to the bridle path, between the car parks, at the end of Madeline Road
[2] Turn left onto Bennion Road and continue forward
[3] Take the first road on the left to turn onto Leyburn Road and continue forward for about 500 metres
[4] Take the footpath on the right to enter Beaumont Park, signposted for Beaumont Shopping Centre
(A) Beaumont Park has some very pleasant walks and some great views of Bradgate Park. There are large grassy areas and areas of woodland. A small pond and some of the areas of ancient woodland can be accessed by tracks off the main path.
[5] Continue forward, ignoring the two paths on the left, to a crossing of paths near the end of the park, just after a 5mph speed restriction sign.
[6] Turn left onto the path heading towards Krefeld Way
[7] After about 100 metres turn left onto the path running parallel to Krefeld Way and continue forward
[8] Exit the park onto the traffic island at the junction of Krefeld Way and Beaumont Leys Lane and turn left up Beaumont Leys Lane
[9] Take the second road on the left, Madeline Road, to return to the start
