Some of the pavements and paths are uneven in places - take care.
[1] From the library cross the road at the pedestrian crossing and continue forward along St Oswald Road and then Greencoat Road to the junction with Glenfield Road.
[2] Turn left onto Glenfield Road and proceed for 500m, passing the entrance to New College.
(A) New College is a community college catering for over 900 students in the 11 to 18 year age group. The former New Parks schools campus is in the middle of a £9 million revamp which is due to finish in 2014. Some parts of the old school have been demolished, other parts will be re-modelled and there will also be some new build.
[3] Just past the pedestrian crossing turn left through the barriers onto a path, keeping New College to the left. Continue ahead on Piper Way to the junction with Glengarry Way, then right to the junction with Aikman Avenue. (take care on this narrow path - especially at night)
[4] Turn left on Aikman Avenue and continue forward to return to the library.
